These dogs are known for their long and silky fur. It’s beautiful to look at, but in order to keep it nice, you need it groomed well every week to prevent knots or dirt build up.

  • Shedding

These dogs are heavy shedders and are known to get their fur all over the place. It can clump pretty bad, so make sure to take them outside plenty and to keep a brush prepared for these incidents.

  • History

Royals have loved this dog all throughout history. They are great in races and sporting events, avid hunters, and all around amazing family dogs. Their intelligence and agility puts them very high in the eyes of many dog owners; especially at shows and events. These dogs are also one of the faster breeds around, and are excellent at hunting and retrieval. An interesting fact about these dogs is that they don't eat that often, or in high amounts. However, you'll need to make sure that the food they ARE eating is nutritious and healthy, and good dog brands or freshly made (dog approved) meals would be ideal for this athletic pup. It’ll help them live longer and stay healthier. These dignified dogs can be quite prideful and think of themselves as royalty; probably due to all of the generations of being treated as canine kings. However, they're still very kind animals who love attention and affection like most other breeds. If you're feeling bold, take one of these athletes out on a walk and see just how fast they can go.
