Bull Terrier Miniature Puppies

The Miniature Bull Terrier was bred to be a ratter, so they are playful, curious and comical in nature. This breed is loving and loyal towards its family. They are fine around young children, but do require supervision. They also have a tendency to chew everything in sight so make sure it has plenty of appropriate toys to occupy its time.

The typical Miniature Bull Terrier will live to between 11-14 years. They enjoy relatively good health despite typical deafness in the older white mini bulls. They can also have kidney problems. Give them plenty of love, the right diet and regular visits to the vet.

Mini Bull Terriers have a moderate energy level and can usually burn off any extra energy themselves. They do need to be walked regularly and kept engaged and interested with toys. They don't need a lot of exercise but they do need a lot of attention.

Miniature Bull Terriers shed seasonally and, despite their short hair, need regular brushing to keep it at bay. Be sure to take it to the professional groomer every two months or so to have your mini bull bathed and clipped. They are hunters by trade, so sometimes they can get into some dirty places. Have a towel by the door to wipe its feet to protect your carpet.

Unfortunately, you will see seasonal heavy shedding from your Miniature Bull Terrier. Loose hair accumulation can be prevented with regular brushing. They are also not considered hypoallergenic, although they do not produce much dander.

You probably already know about the Mini Bull Terrier’s most distinguishing feature, its oval-shaped head. This was useful rooting out vermin when it was employed as a ratter. Their body is muscular and square with short legs and beautifly pointy ears. Its coat is short and can be white, black, cream or multi-colored.

The Miniature Bull Terrier is actually not a direct descendant of the Bull Terrier, although the two are often confused. The Bull Terrier is more like a cousin to the Mini Bull Terrier because it doesn't have the Spanish Pointer mix. This is what makes it a "miniature" Bull Terrier. These dogs were bred to be ratters. The shape of their head and small stature made them very successful hunters. They originated in England and have become a very popular breed in the United States because of their comical nature and interesting shape.
