Golden Retriever Miniature Puppies

With a friendly disposition and an outgoing personality, the Golden Cavalier has some winning traits. However, like all designer breeds, these may vary depending on which parent breed they take after. Usually, easygoing and loving with their family, they enjoy spending time with their family. Like both parent breeds, the Golden Retriever and Cavalier, they are fairly easy to train as they desire to please you. The Miniature Golden Retriever doesn’t do well separated for long periods of time from its family as it can develop separation anxiety.

Miniature Golden Retrievers are generally healthy. While they can be prone to weight gain, as adults, they can also be susceptible to hip and elbow dysplasia, glaucoma, cataracts, cancer, and allergies.

Miniature Golden Retrievers have medium-level energy and should have daily exercise whether it’s a walk and/or playing fetch. They should have at least a 30-minute walk every day along with a form of mental stimulation such as playing fetch, tug-of-war, training, and other forms.

Miniature Golden Retrievers should be brushed several times a week to avoid mats and tangles and to keep loose fur under control. This breed will also need its ears inspected for signs of infection on a weekly basis. Like other breeds, they may need their nails trimmed regularly.

Golden Cavaliers shed moderately with it varying depending on which parent breed they take after. With their silky coat, they are not hypoallergenic and my not be a good fit for allergy sufferers.

Miniature Golden Retrievers are medium-sized dogs and usually have a way coat. They are generally golden, white, or red in color. Often resembling the Golden Retriever in looks, some may have the Cavalier’s face and muzzle. Generally, they will have floppy ears like the Cavalier and have short legs.

The Miniature Golden Retriever is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Golden Retriever. Developed in the United States, it is hard to tell when the first Golden Cavalier appeared. They were likely to have first been intentionally bred in the early 2000s, when designer dogs became popular. Today, the Miniature Golden Retriever has been registered with several dog clubs for designer breeds, including the Designer Dog Kennel Club (DDKC) and the Dog Registry of America (DRA).
