This loyal companion is looking to steal a piece of your heart!

I am an AKC Irish Setter puppy! I was born on May 6th and I am ready for my forever home! I have been family raised on a mini farm in the country around children. I have had my shots and de-wormers. I will be checked by a veterinarian and microchipped. For more information or to schedule a visit with me, please contact Andrew Monday through Saturday. All Sunday calls will be returned on Monday.

My Mom is a 45lb AKC registered Irish Setter named Maggie. My Dad is a 65lb AKC registered Irish Setter named Big Red.

Let's learn a little bit about this amazing breed of dogs!

Meet the Irish Setter—Your Ideal Family Companion and Hunting Partner
Sporting a rich mahogany-red coat that gleams in the sun, the Irish Setter is a striking medium‑to‑large gundog with a noble, athletic frame, typically standing 25–27″ tall and weighing 60–70 lb. Bred in 18th‑century Ireland to locate and “set” upland game birds, this breed combines an extraordinary sense of smell and natural pointing instinct with boundless energy and agility. Known for their affectionate, intelligent, and exuberantly playful temperament, Irish Setters make wonderful companions for active families and excel in dog sports like agility, field trials, and obedience. They do require daily vigorous exercise—ideally an hour or more—to stay balanced and content. With their quick learning and delightful, mischievous personality, they’re slow to mature—sparking endless puppy‑like antics well into adulthood. This loyal, sociable breed loves people, pets, and open spaces.

Their luxurious, silky coat deserves attention: brush 2–3 times per week (more during seasonal shedding), with monthly trims and baths every 1–2 months or as needed. Regular grooming also includes nail trims, teeth brushing 2–3 times weekly, and weekly ear checks and cleanings to prevent infections from those long, floppy ears.
