Welcome to Our Family

We are located in the beautiful hills of Holmes County. Raising puppies has always been so much fun, seeing the puppies grow and develop their own unique personalities. They bring so much joy to our family. We mostly raise Lhasa-Poos. We fell in love with this specific breed due to having a family pet and we wanted to bring that joy we experienced to other homes as well.

The Lhasa Apsos were introduced to the United States in 1933 by C. Suydam  Cutting, who received them as gifts from the thirteenth Dalai Lama.  A dog of  moderation, they are slow to mature. Lhasa Apsos do not reach their prime until the 3rd or 4th year. They age gracefully. Keeping a youthful attitude and appearance well into their teens. They are not a breed given to being yappy or nervous. The Lhasa Apso is extremely intelligent, often exhibiting a regal  attittude, which can quickly be dispelled by a clownish sense of humor and a joy for life. An independent nature ensures that the Lhasa seldom needs to be entertained, to the contrary, they usually provide the entertainment. The Lhasa resists harsh or strict discipline, responding best to training with reward based  reinforcement.

The cross between the Lhasa and a 10lb toy poodle creates the most beautiful,  soft coated companion for families with children of all ages. These dogs are non shedding, hypoallergenic, and easily trained.

~ We are the Yoder family of 3. My husband and I have been married for 31  years and we have one daughter. My husband has been in the woodworking industry for many years. All three of us love hunting and fishing and our daughter has two horses and loves horseback riding. I no longer have the ability to follow those hobbies, due to having a stroke at 21 years old, caused by a brain aneurysm. I am also a 30 year cancer survivor. With God’s blessings, he has granted me the good health and courage to do what I love and enjoy, being a hobby breeder since 2003. (Adorable Pets) Making memories, happy families and friends is my goal and brings me great joy!

~ Blessings to everyone!

I got Joseph, a Lhasa-Poo, from Mary and her daughter, Sue, about six months ago. He is a year old now. For some reason, he was the last of his litter to be adopted. Joseph is such a good boy! He is about 18 lbs now and is a complete ball of joy! His hair is a mix of light brown and white with different shades throughout. The hair is mostly straight and flowing like a Lhasa with a little curl from the poodle in him on top of his head, and it is unbelievably soft and fluffy. Everyone who meets him comments on how cute and soft he is. Joseph is more than just an adorable ball of fur, though. He is playful, curious about everything, and I swear he can understand my words! His intelligence also made it easy for me to housetrain him. That training was so easy, we moved on to sit, stay, jump, and of course, he loves to run and catch a ball. He mastered all of these super quickly. It is impossible for me not to have a good day with this little fella! Joseph also has a good heart. He is such a sweet doggo. You will just melt when you look into his eyes. He must have gotten that from Mary and Sue, as they were so sweet as well. I highly recommend Adorable Pets, Mary and Sue, if you're looking for your own fur baby!
