English Bulldog Puppies

English Bulldogs are known for their docile, outgoing, and willful personality. They are a calm, people-oriented breed that's loyal and intelligent, and also great with children. Bulldogs are very devoted to their families and make excellent watchdogs because of their courageous nature. Most English Bulldogs are friendly toward strangers and get along well with other pets, but some can be assertive with strange dogs, particularly those of the same sex. Like all dogs, the Bulldog should be properly socialized during puppyhood to ensure that they grow up to be well-rounded and easygoing. Training an English Bulldog isn't difficult, but the breed is known to have a stubborn nature on occasion.

English Bulldogs can suffer from eye conditions like cherry eye, Brachycephalic ocular disease, and dry eye. Also, becuase of their flat nose, they can have difficulty breathing, which lead to a variety of other conditions. 

Bulldogs are fairly docile dogs that don't need much exercise, although they must be walked daily to prevent weight gain. English Bulldogs are indoor dogs and prefer a laid back lifestyle. A quick stroll is enough exercise to keep these dogs content. Due to its low to medium energy level, the Bulldog is suitable for apartments and large houses alike.

The English Bulldog's short coat is fairly easy to maintain. A few brushings a week with a soft brush keeps their coat healthy and will keep their shedding at bay. It is also important to make sure dirt and moisture don't get trapped in their skin wrinkles, which can lead to infection. 

English Bulldogs are light shedders year round. Unlike other breeds, they don't have a heavier shedding season. 

Bulldogs are medium-sized dogs with a stocky, muscular build and short legs. They have large heads and a short muzzle and are known for their underbite. Their fur can be many colors, including tan, white, black, or brindle.

English Bulldogs have a long history in the United Kingdom, as they were, unfortunately, bred and used for dog fighting since the 13th century. Once dog fighting was outlawed in the 1800s, Bulldogs decreased in popularity because there was no longer a use for them. At the time, they weren't meant to be human companions since their violent history was all they knew. However, some people still admired the Bulldog's distinctive look and tenacious personality, so they decided to revive the breed. This time, breeders focused on developing a dog with a sweet and gentle temperament instead of an aggressive one, while still maintaining the Bulldog's physical characteristics. Once they came to the United States, English Bulldogs were used by many farmers to round up cattle, and have since become a popular mainstay in many American families.
