Eskipoo Puppies

The Eskipoo is a cheerful and affectionate pup that thrives on being in the company of its family members. Aside from family, the Eskipoo gets along with just about anyone, including strangers, children, and other dogs. Due to their sociable nature, the Eskipoo does not do well when left alone for long periods of time. So, they're not a good breed choice for someone who is away from home often because they may become lonely and/or develop separation anxiety. Training-wise, Eskipoos love to please their owners and are very intelligent, so they don't have much trouble learning and following commands. Over all, the Eskipoo makes an excellent choice for anyone who is looking for a happy-go-lucky, loving family dog.

When purchased from a reputable breeder, your Eskipoo will be generally healthy, but they could be genetically predisposed towards a variety of health issues, such as hip or elbow dysplasia, ear infections, glaucoma, legg-calve-parthes disease, progressive retinal atrophy, or cataracts.

Eskapoos are a high energy dog that requires about an hour of activity per day. They have a tendency to gain weight if they aren't exercised enough, and exercise is imperative to their physical and mental health. They do best when they are exercising with their family, so walks, hikes, and playtime are important.

Brushing three to four times per week keeps your Eskipoo's curly coat free of tangles and reduces the amount of excess shedding you'll find around your house. They should also have their coat trimmed a few times a year - especially if you live in a warmer climate.

The Eskipoo's coat is a lovely combination between their two parents but it fast growing and does shed a moderate amount.

Eskapoos generally take on traits from both of their parents, and their size depends on the size of the Poodle. Their fluffy coat is most often white or cream, but can include hints of blue, black, and silver.

The Eskipoo, or Pookimo, is a designer breed that's a cross between the American Eskimo and the Poodle. When it comes to designer dogs, there are not many breeds that have a well-documented history. Unfortunately, no one knows exactly when or how the Eskipoo came to be, but it was likely during the 1990s, which is when the designer dog trend began. Over the course of the following decades, the Eskipoo's popularity took off, especially due to it's low-shedding coat that it inherited from its Poodle parent. Today, the Eskipoo has been recognized by several designer and hybrid dog clubs, like the American Canine Hybrid Association (ACHA) and the International Designer Canine Registry (IDCR).
